Video conferences

Frequently asked questions about VENTIQ Meetings
Are video conferences included in the subscription?
Yes. With an active Creator, Business or Business Executive membership you use VENTIQ Meetings with no additional meeting fees. Separately bookable services such as boosts remain paid.
Can external participants join without a VENTIQ account?
Yes. As a host you send an invitation by e-mail or share the invitation link. Guests need neither registration nor a PIN or a subscription – a display name, confirmation of the privacy notice and permission for camera and microphone are enough. Guests receive access only to this one meeting.
Can I share my screen?
Yes, on desktop under Windows and macOS in current browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Depending on the browser you choose the entire screen, an application window or a browser tab. You can stop sharing at any time with “Stop sharing”. Screen sharing on Android and iPhone is planned for the app.
How long is an invitation link valid?
You decide when creating it: 30 minutes, 1, 2, 4, 8 or 24 hours, 7 days or a custom expiry date. You can extend the link or deactivate it early at any time. Expired or deactivated links do not allow a new join; a meeting already under way is not ended by this.
Is my camera or microphone switched on automatically?
No. The browser asks for your permission before joining, and you choose camera and microphone yourself in the preview. In the meeting you can turn both on and off at any time. If the camera is off, no video is transmitted. The host can mute you, but can never switch your microphone back on themselves.
How secure are VENTIQ Meetings?
Video and audio are transmitted directly between participants via WebRTC and are always encrypted (DTLS-SRTP). The website runs exclusively over HTTPS. Access is checked by our server: members need an active membership and an invitation, guests a valid, time-limited link. Meetings are not recorded.
How many people can take part?
Up to 6 people per meeting, members and guests counted together.
Does VENTIQ Meetings work on a smartphone?
Yes, you can join in the mobile browser and use camera and microphone. Extended mobile features such as screen sharing for Android and iPhone are planned for Q1 2027.
